Refund Policy

Version 2.0 — Effective from 10/04/2026

This policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a ManaSmurti subscription. Our approach is straightforward and fair.

1. Scope of this policy

This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscription plans purchased on the ManaSmurti platform (manasmurti.com). All subscription fees are charged and processed in Indian Rupees (INR).

This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail.

2. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your ManaSmurti subscription at any time from your account settings. There is no lock-in period and no cancellation fee.

When you cancel:

  • Your access to paid features continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • No further charges will be made to your payment method.
  • After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the free tier.
  • Your conversation history is retained for 90 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted.

You may resubscribe at any time. If you resubscribe within 90 days of cancellation, your previous conversation history will be available.

3. Seven-day full refund guarantee (first subscription only)

If you subscribe to a paid plan on ManaSmurti for the first time and are not satisfied with the service, you may request a full refund within seven (7) calendar days of your first payment date.

Conditions:

  • This guarantee applies only to your very first subscription purchase on ManaSmurti.
  • It does not apply to subscription renewals, plan upgrades, or subsequent subscription purchases after a previous cancellation.
  • The refund request must be received within seven (7) calendar days from the date of the original payment.
  • Upon refund, your account will immediately revert to the free tier and access to paid features will cease.

To request a refund under this guarantee, send an email to support@manasmurti.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include your registered email address and the date of payment.

4. No partial refunds for unused days

We do not offer partial refunds or pro-rata credits for unused days within an active billing period. If you cancel your subscription midway through a billing cycle, you will retain paid access for the remainder of that cycle but will not receive a refund for the unused portion.

This applies to all subscription plans, including monthly plans, and regardless of the reason for cancellation (except as provided in Section 3 above or as required by applicable law).

5. Corporate and team plans

Refunds for corporate or team plans are governed by the specific agreement entered into between ManaSmurti and your organisation. The terms of that agreement shall prevail over this general Refund Policy for matters related to corporate plan billing and refunds.

If you are an employee using ManaSmurti through a corporate plan and wish to discuss billing, please contact your organisation's administrator. If you are a corporate administrator, please contact us at support@manasmurti.com.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, send an email to support@manasmurti.com with the following details:

  • Your registered email address on ManaSmurti.
  • The date of the payment you are requesting a refund for (in DD/MM/YYYY format).
  • The payment amount and transaction reference (if available).
  • A brief description of the reason for your request (optional, but helpful for us to improve).

Processing timeline:

  • We will acknowledge your refund request within 48 hours of receipt.
  • If your request is approved, the refund will be processed within seven (7) business days from the date of approval.
  • Refunds are credited back to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow an additional 5 to 10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

If your refund request is declined, we will provide a clear explanation of the reason for the decision. You may appeal the decision through our Grievance Redressal process.

7. Account suspension and refunds

If your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service or community guidelines:

  • Any active subscription is cancelled immediately.
  • No refund is issued for the current or any remaining billing period.
  • Any pending refund requests will be reviewed and may be denied based on the nature of the violation.

Account suspension follows our progressive enforcement process (warning, 24-hour pause, then suspension). A suspension is always a last step, applied only after prior corrective measures have been exhausted.

If you believe the suspension was made in error, you may file an appeal by emailing grievance@manasmurti.com. We review every appeal. If your account is reinstated following an appeal, you may resume your subscription from the date of reinstatement, but no refund or credit will be issued for the period of suspension.

8. Chargebacks and disputed payments

We encourage you to contact us at support@manasmurti.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly.

If a chargeback is initiated without prior communication with us, we reserve the right to suspend your account until the dispute is resolved. Repeated or fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination.

9. Changes to this policy and governing law

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated version date. We will notify active subscribers by email of any material changes at least 15 days before they take effect.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bangalore (Bengaluru), Karnataka, India.

This Refund Policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as applicable.
