Build the middle ground with us.

ManaSmurti is a private, calm companion for the ordinary weight of a hard life. We are building it for India first. If this is work you care about, there is more than one way to be part of it.

For direct enquiries, write to partner@manasmurti.com. For anything else, pick a track below and send us a short note.

Why this work, and why now

The space is crowded. Ours is a narrower, harder bet.

There are a lot of new mental health products in India right now. Most are racing to be bigger, broader, faster. ManaSmurti is a narrower bet. Six things, done with care, that make it different from what is already out there.

Privacy by architecture, not policy

Conversations are encrypted at the message level before they touch the database. We do not sell, share, or train outside systems on anything a user tells us. Corporate access is gated at the group level with an immutable audit trail every employee can see.

A companion, not an assistant

ManaSmurti does not race to solve your problem. It sits with you, asks the right kind of question, and helps you hear your own thinking. The product is designed to settle, not to extract. Nobody else is building this way.

Indian contemplative traditions with contemporary research

The practices we build are drawn from Indian contemplative traditions and informed by contemporary research on how the mind settles. Not cultural marketing. Intellectual heritage, taken seriously, shaped around outcomes a user can feel.

Curated Indian helplines, never invented

Every helpline we surface is real, reachable, and checked by hand. We route heavy moments to people who can actually hold them. This is a boring thing to build. It is also how you know the rest of the platform was built by people who care.

Designed for the eighty percent treatment gap

India has a treatment gap of roughly eighty percent for common mental health concerns, and similar gaps run across most low- and middle-income countries. For most people carrying everyday pressure, the only options today are silence or a clinical appointment three weeks out. ManaSmurti is the middle ground.

Outcome-focused practices

Each guide is one quiet outcome. Helping you name a feeling. Steadying your body. Thinking through a decision. Nothing is dressed up as a feed, a stream, or a content library. You arrive with a specific moment, you leave with something you can take with you.

Everyone needs someone to talk to. Not everyone has that someone. The treatment gap in India is not a policy problem. It is a design problem, and a trust problem.

Four ways to be part of this

Pick the track that fits you.

We are open to four kinds of partners right now. Each one has a specific ask and a specific exchange. If none of these fit cleanly, the general note is always open.

Track one

Clinical advisors

Who

Psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counsellors, and grief practitioners working in Indian contexts.

What we are asking

Help us shape the safety architecture. Review our guardrails. Tell us where we are wrong before a user finds out. Co-author the harm-reduction model.

What you get back

An advisory role, a seat at the table on hard decisions, and a clear equity path for those who stay involved. We are building a platform that respects the domain you have spent a career in, and we need your hand on it.

Track two

Design partners for HR

Who

People leaders at companies of roughly fifty to five thousand, who know their current wellness programme is paid for and not used.

What we are asking

Bring us into your company as an early design partner for ManaSmurti for Teams. Use us with a small cohort first. Tell us what is broken before we build the next version.

What you get back

Early pricing, a direct line to influence the product, first access to the HR dashboard, and a say in shaping the tiers before the self-service page goes live.

Track three

Research partners

Who

Academics in psychology, public health, affective science, or Indian contemplative traditions.

What we are asking

Collaborate on research questions we both care about. Affect labeling. Digital companionship. The shape of help-seeking in India. What happens when the middle ground opens.

What you get back

A real-world platform with real users, anonymised under consent where that is appropriate. Co-authorship where the work earns it. A research partner that takes the craft seriously and does not inflate claims.

Track four

Mission-aligned investors

Who

Angels, pre-seed funds, and mission-aligned capital that understands this is patient work.

What we are asking

If the thesis below fits your mandate, write to us. Tell us how you think, what you have backed before, and what you would want to understand. We would rather start with a real conversation than a deck.

What you get back

An honest read on where we are, what we are solving, and what we still do not know. If there is a fit, we will share the details that matter. If there is not, we will say so quickly.

Who is building this

Designed and developed by Rakesh Krishnan, in Bangalore.

ManaSmurti is a solo build at the moment. The whole platform, the safety architecture, the guide library, the admin dashboard, and the data handling model have been built by one person who has watched people close to him carry things they could not put down and did not know where to take.

The work has reached the point where it should no longer be a one-person project. The people who join now, in any of the roles above, will shape what ManaSmurti becomes. That is not a pitch. That is the fact of where we are.

Advisors and backers will be named here as those relationships form. We will not publish a logo wall until there is one real name to put there. Everything on this page is true today.
