What a guide is

A guide is a shaped pause. You open one, tap through a few soft questions or visuals, and leave with a small reflection that belongs to the moment you are in.

How guides are made

Hand-written, grounded in research, shaped by Indian texture

Every guide is written by the team at ManaSmurti. Each one starts with a real moment we have heard described in conversations and reflections. We read the research on that moment, sit with how an Indian reader would describe it in their own words, and build a short practice that holds the moment without trying to fix it in one sitting.

Some guides sit on top of validated reflection frameworks from clinical psychology. Others draw from Indian contemplative traditions that have thought about the mind for a very long time. None of them are generated in the background. The words you see have been written, read aloud, and revised by a person.

What we draw from

  • Peer-reviewed psychology research

    Contemporary work on reflective practice, grounding, breathing, and emotional labelling informs the structure of most guides.

  • Indian idioms of how distress is lived

    Academic work on how Indians actually describe heavy days (the weight sits in the chest, in the gut, in the head) shapes the voice of every question.

  • Contemplative traditions across regions

    Shared threads from reflective practices across South and South-East Asia. We borrow stance, not vocabulary, and never name a specific teacher or school.

  • Our own listening

    Conversations with the first hundred users of ManaSmurti have shaped what a guide needs to be gentle, useful, and not performative.

What you write in any guide is encrypted before it reaches our database, using the same standard banks use. Nobody on our team can read your reflections.

Never sold, never trained on

Your words do not go to advertisers, not to other companies, not to any model we use. Aggregate patterns may inform product decisions, never individual content.
