4-7-8 Breathing

Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, then breathe out slowly for 8. This rhythm signals to your body that it is safe to relax.

  1. Breathe in
  2. Hold
  3. Breathe out

A few tips

  • Start with 3 to 4 rounds and build up over time.
  • The exhale should feel like a gentle release, not forced.
  • This works well before sleep or after a stressful moment.
